Located in Sunrise, Florida, Women of Empowerment's mission is to help empower women by breaking down barriers that hinder women from pursuing their goals. Our Executive Director and founder, Christina Nelson has worked in Long Island, New York for residential treatment programs that serve girls with serious to severe emotional and behavioral problems. She watched young women like her self struggle to reach their goals. Whether, it was a short or long term goal, there was a constant battle between life obstacles and goal achievement. Christina received her Bachelors of Science in Sociology at Old Westbury College where she discovered her passion to serve her community. With her drive to make a difference Christina relocated to South Florida with the motivation to start an non-profit organization of her own.

Our objective is to create a safe haven for women who are seeking to empower themselves and women around them by influencing and uplifting one another.
